Education

Every Utah child deserves an education that sets them up for future success. Our kids went through a lot during the COVID-19 pandemic, and many are still playing catch-up. As your next Senator, I will prioritize education policy that prepares our kids for success.

All four of my children participated in Utah’s public education system, and I am grateful for the many dedicated teachers who contributed to their success. We ask a lot of our educators, and they rise to the occasion. Every possible tax dollar should make it to our students’ classrooms and help set our kids and state up for future success.

I am proud of my voting record on education while I have served in the Utah House. The Legislature must continue to work smarter on education funding. In the last several years, legislators increased public education funding despite economic uncertainty and secured federal funding to help get education back on track. We have to keep up that good work.

As your next senator, I will continue to put your children and their teachers first. We must continue to rely on education experts, be innovative in our education funding, and promote parental involvement.
